This grammar exercise tests your ability to make negative sentences in the simple present tense.

An example is given below:

Jane drinks coffee in the morning. (Assertive)

Jane does not drink coffee in the morning. (Negative)

Please note that some of the sentences given below give factually incorrect information.

1. Martha ................... not live with her sister.

Correct! Wrong!

2. James ......................... not own three cars.

Correct! Wrong!

3. Cats ................... not chase mice.

Correct! Wrong!

4. Birds ................... not make their nests in trees.

Correct! Wrong!

Correct! Wrong!

8. My grandparents ..................... not keep pigs in their shed.

Correct! Wrong!

9. He ....................... not work hard to support his family.

Correct! Wrong!

10. Opposite poles ..................... not attract.

Correct! Wrong!
