Fill in the blanks with an appropriate conjunction.

And is a conjunction.

Use but to connect two contrasting ideas.

We use though to connect two contrasting ideas. But goes in the middle of the two clauses connected by it.

Until shows time.

Because shows the reason.

7. ……………………….. I had the money, I could buy a car.

Correct! Wrong!

If expresses a condition.

Correct! Wrong!

Either could be used here; however, whether is preferred in a formal style.

9. ………………………… you need help, just give me a call.

Correct! Wrong!

To express a condition, we use if. As shows the reason.

10. ……………………… it is expensive, I will buy it.

Either even if or though is possible here with slightly different meanings.
