Fill in the blanks with an appropriate tense form.

In type 2 conditional, we use a simple past tense in the if clause and would + bare infinitive in the main clause.

In type 3 conditional, we use a past perfect tense in the if-clause and would have + past participle in the main clause.

The past perfect is not used to simply say that something happened sometime ago. The simple past is used with that meaning.

Correct! Wrong!

The present perfect continuous is used to talk about an action or situation that started in the past and has continued up to the present.
