This grammar exercise tests your understanding of past simple and present perfect tenses. Complete the following sentences using an appropriate tense form. Each question is followed by two suggested answers. Choose the most appropriate one.

Use the present perfect "has been" because "since she returned from Malaysia" shows the state continues to now.

Use the simple past "met" because "yesterday" is a finished time in the past.

Use the present perfect "has left" because "Look" points to a present result.
