Refund Policy

Last updated: 27 July 2026

This Refund Policy applies to paid EnglishGrammar.org Pro subscriptions purchased through Paddle.

Merchant of Record

Payments for EnglishGrammar.org Pro are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle handles payment processing, applicable transaction taxes, invoices, receipts, refunds, chargebacks, and billing support for your purchase.

Your bank or card statement may show a charge from Paddle or PADDLE.NET.

Paddle’s Refund Policy and Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase.

Cancellation and Refunds Are Different

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time through the Paddle customer portal or the subscription-management link provided in your Paddle email receipt.

Cancellation prevents future renewal charges. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and you will retain Pro access until that period ends.

Cancelling your subscription does not normally result in a refund for the current or any previous billing period.

General Refund Rule

Except where required by applicable law, where you validly exercise a statutory withdrawal or refund right, where Paddle approves a refund, or where we expressly state otherwise at checkout, subscription payments are non-refundable.

We do not provide refunds or credits merely because a subscription was not used, was only partially used, or was cancelled after a renewal payment had already been processed.

EnglishGrammar.org Pro does not include an unconditional 30-day money-back guarantee.

Statutory Withdrawal and Consumer Rights

Depending on your country of residence, mandatory consumer laws may give you a statutory right to withdraw from or cancel a digital-content or subscription purchase within a specified period.

Any such rights are governed by applicable law and Paddle’s Refund Policy. Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or excludes mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.

Renewal Payments and Partial Billing Periods

Renewal payments and partially used billing periods are not normally refundable unless required by applicable law or approved by Paddle.

To prevent the next renewal charge, you must cancel your subscription before its next billing date.

Technical Problems

If a technical problem prevents you from accessing Pro content, please contact us first so that we can investigate and attempt to resolve the issue.

If a material technical problem cannot be resolved within a reasonable time, Paddle may approve a full or partial refund where appropriate or where required by applicable law.

Use of Pro Content and Refund Abuse

Paddle may consider the circumstances of a refund request, including the nature of the product, the reason for the request, use or consumption of Pro content, and any applicable consumer rights.

A refund request may be declined where permitted by law if there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, account sharing, repeated refund requests, systematic downloading, automated extraction, unauthorized redistribution of Pro content, or another violation of our Terms of Service.

Nothing in this section limits your lawful right to request a refund, exercise a statutory withdrawal right, or dispute an unauthorized or incorrect payment.

Effect of an Approved Full Refund

If a full refund is approved:

  • your EnglishGrammar.org Pro access will end immediately;
  • the associated subscription will be cancelled where applicable to prevent future renewal charges;
  • your licence to access and use Pro content will end; and
  • you must stop using and delete any Pro materials you downloaded, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

A refund does not transfer ownership of EnglishGrammar.org content or give permission to retain, share, reproduce, republish, sell, or redistribute Pro exercises or other protected materials.

Partial Refunds

Paddle may approve a partial refund instead of a full refund where appropriate.

A partial refund does not by itself cancel your subscription or prevent future renewal charges. If you do not want the subscription to renew, you must also cancel it through the Paddle customer portal.

Unless we or Paddle tell you otherwise, Pro access will normally remain active after a partial refund while the subscription remains active.

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you do not recognize a payment or believe that a charge is incorrect, please contact Paddle or us before initiating a chargeback so that the matter can be investigated.

If you initiate a chargeback, payment reversal, or other payment dispute, your Pro access may be temporarily suspended while the dispute is reviewed.

We may permanently terminate Pro access where a chargeback or payment dispute is determined to involve fraud, account sharing, refund abuse, or another material violation of our Terms of Service.

Nothing in this section limits any lawful rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection, payment-services, or card-scheme rules.

How to Request a Refund

You may request a refund using one of the following methods:

  • use the “View receipt” or “Manage subscription” link in your Paddle transaction-confirmation email;
  • use the refund or support option in Paddle’s customer portal;
  • contact Paddle through its buyer-support service; or
  • contact us through our contact page.

Submitting a refund request does not guarantee that a refund will be approved. Eligibility is determined under applicable law, Paddle’s policies, the circumstances of the request, and the applicable contractual terms.

Refund Processing

If a refund is approved, Paddle will normally return the approved amount to the original payment method where possible.

The time required for the refunded amount to appear depends on Paddle, the payment method, the customer’s bank or payment provider, and applicable law.

Changes to This Refund Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
