Conjunctions identification

Conjunctions are words used to connect two words, phrases or clauses. There are only a few conjunctions in English, so you can even memorize their list if you want to.

Underline the conjunctions in the following sentences.

1. Though she is a millionaire, she is very humble.

2. They cancelled the match because it rained.

3. I waited for him until he arrived.

4. We eat so that we may live.

5. Although she was tired, she managed to do it.

6. She talks as if she knew everything.

7. If you do not mend your ways, you will land in trouble.

8. Unless you give me the keys of the safe, you will be shot.

9. They tried to dissuade him but he persisted.

10. He is either a genius or a lunatic.

11. I loved him so I helped him.

12. As I opened my eyes, I saw a strange sight.
