Formation of Negatives Exercise

March 8, 2024 - B1pdf

This grammar exercise tests your ability to form negative sentences in English. In English, we make negatives by putting not after an auxiliary verb. Use the first form of the verb after do, does and did. Use the past participle (third form of the verb) after has, have and had.

Both "hadn't received" and "didn't receive" are possible negative forms, depending on the time relationship in context.
