Present perfect tense exercise

The present perfect tense is used to talk about past events that are in some way connected to the present. For example, this is the tense form we use to talk about things that we have experienced in our life. It is also used to talk about actions and situations that have continued up to the present.

Study the example given below.

We ………………… . Mathew …………………. (not see, since August)

We have not seen Mathew since August.

Exercise

Complete the following sentences using appropriate forms of the words given in the brackets.

1. I ………………….. this book three times ………………….. (read, since, last year)

2. They …………………… . cricket twice ………………… (play, since Monday)

3. Radha ………………… .. Thursday. (miss, since)

4. We ………………… . in this house (live, for four years)

5. He ………………….. his legs twice ………………… (break, since last January)
