Since indicates the starting point of a situation.

We use 'in' before seasons.

9. It usually rains ....................... the month of July.

We use 'in' before the names of months.

By evening means in the evening or before that.

11. I waited for them ......................... evening and then I went home.

Correct! Wrong!

Until and till mean the same. Until is more formal.
