Pleased is followed by the preposition about.

Angry is usually followed by the preposition. Sometimes at is also possible.

6. I am getting anxious ............................................. his health.

Anxious about means worried about.

7. We are all anxious ............................................. an amicable solution to this problem.

Correct! Wrong!

Anxious for means eager to have.

8. She is anxious ....................................... reunite with her family.

Correct! Wrong!

When anxious is followed by a to-infinitive, it means eager. The above sentence means: She is eager to reunite with her family.

Independent is followed by of.

Polite is followed by to.
