Some adjectives can be followed bypreposition + noun or –ing form.

The adjective "capable" is followed by "of" before a gerund phrase.
9As I was short ............... cash, I borrowed some from my uncle.

The phrase "short of" means not having enough "of" something.
10I wasn't aware ............... his motives.
Wrong!
The adjective "aware" is followed by "of" before the thing someone knows about.

The adjective "good" is followed by "at" before an activity or skill.
